Beelt completes São Bento rehabilitation

Beelt has completed the total rehabilitation of the São Bento building in Lisbon for the real estate developer Trirhena. Designed by the architecture studio Saraiva + Associados, the building, comprising five apartments and a retail space, now gains new functionality and comfort.

The intervention began with a building in an advanced state of deterioration, restoring its structural integrity and enhancing its architectural character through the recovery of original features. The project also included the creation of a new vertical access with the installation of an elevator, significantly improving the building’s accessibility and comfort.

Due to the site’s constraints, located along one of Lisbon’s main tram routes, the project required adjustments to the usual workflow, including the phased execution of certain operations. These challenges did not compromise the quality or the final outcome of this rehabilitation.
