Rehabilitated building in Mouraria
Beelt has recently completed the full rehabilitation of a mixed-use residential and commercial building with four levels, located in Mouraria, Lisbon, for the real estate developer Lusoproa.
Built in an area with significant logistical constraints, the project required careful management, demanding precise planning and close coordination between teams and subcontractors.
The intervention included the complete replacement of the building’s original wooden floor structure, now reinforced with a metal framework, as well as the application of technical solutions such as micro-concrete projection and fireproof materials, ensuring the building’s stability and safety.
The architectural project, designed by the firm Saraiva + Associados, combined heritage preservation with contemporary solutions, featuring high-quality finishes, the strategic use of Lioz limestone, and the rehabilitation of the façades and common areas.
The structural and architectural rehabilitation of this building in Mouraria preserves its original character and the identity of the neighborhood, resulting in a renewed, solid, and functional property fully integrated into its surroundings.
