The new life of a historic villa

Beelt has completed the full rehabilitation of a historic villa over 70 years old, located in the center of Alcochete. Designed by Semgafes – Arquitectos Associados, the project transformed the property into a set of four apartments, including a duplex, combining modern comfort with the preservation of its original character.

The intervention stood out for the extension at the rear of the building, where a new reinforced concrete structure increased the usable area of the apartments, optimizing the layout of the units.

To ensure the building’s stability and safety, the construction works also included new metal and laminated wood structures. In the duplex, the previously inaccessible attic was converted into a living space, featuring new rooms and a spacious balcony that provides both shelter and shading for the apartments below.

With this rehabilitation, Beelt has delivered a residential complex that blends modernity and tradition, enhancing the historic character of the town of Alcochete.
